Sleeping Well

Focus on improving your sleep so that your neuro immune system can restore itself

Sleep is as important to your body as diet and exercise. Sleep will keep you healthy, productive, optimistic and energetic


The benefits of sleeping well are:

It lowers your risk for serious health problems including Type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Sleep helps one maintain a healthy weight and make better decisions.

One should use bedroom only for sleep. Make your bedroom sleep sanctuary quiet and relaxing.

One should not use screens for at least a half hour before sleeping. The blue light of screen does not enhance sleep and increases cortisol levels

Avoid caffeine in afternoon and evening.

Keep phone in another room so that you do not use screen at night

Don’t go to bed unless you are sleepy.

Aim to Exercise regularly, chose relaxing modes of exercise that encourage deep breathing such as mindfulness tai chi, qi gong and Yoga

Try exercise early in morning to ensure circadian rhythm.

Sleep efficiently.
